I've spent more than 15 years working in education, with experience in elementary teaching, educational leadership, consultation, and supporting children with diverse learning needs.
My work also includes university teaching and research in child development, autism, and inclusive education. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of educational systems, children's development, and the everyday realities faced by families, educators, and caregivers.
I bring together practical experience, research, and a collaborative approach to offer thoughtful, evidence-informed support.
I started Moving Right Along Education because I believe every family deserves access to knowledgeable, affordable, and compassionate support as they navigate their child's educational journey.
The education system can be complex, and finding the right information, resources, and supports isn't always straightforward. My goal is to make that process more accessible by helping families understand their options, advocate for their children's needs, and build positive, collaborative relationships with educators.
Above all, I want families to feel heard, informed, and supported in making decisions that reflect their child's strengths, needs, and individual experiences.
I believe meaningful support starts with listening, understanding different perspectives, and working together. My approach focuses on building positive relationships, finding practical solutions, and supporting children in ways that respect who they are.
Respect for Individual Differences. Every child has unique strengths, interests, and ways of learning and communicating. I use a strengths-based, neuroaffirming approach that values these differences.
Families as Partners. Families know their children best. I respect their knowledge, experiences, and priorities and recognise their important role in decisions about their children.
Collaboration Over Confrontation. Positive relationships between families, educators, and caregivers create opportunities to share ideas, solve problems, and support children together.
Knowledge That Leads to Action. I bring together research, practical experience, and educational knowledge to help families and professionals explore options and make informed decisions.
